High sales for homes in the Big Apple
Sales of homes in the New York region of the USA real estate market experienced a lift of more than 17 per cent compared to the same time twelve months ago. In a statement from the New York State Association of Realtors homes in this region of property in North America have seen prices rise steadily for almost a year and a half. At the end of October the average home price in the New York region was recorded at $230,276 – more than 12 per cent higher than this time last year. At the end of October the national average home price was recorded at a level of $199,500Residential real estate sales throughout the New York districts are almost 13 per cent higher than twelve months ago - a point that was highlighted in the report as ‘particularly encouraging since interest rates have slowly increased throughout 2013 with appreciable impact on sales’. The report also revealed that home owners achieved the highest percentage of their asking price since 2007 which may well encourage more home owners to list their properties for sale.
