Russian Buyers in Spain

According to figures published by Spain’s property registrars, the number of property buyers in Spain rose significantly last year.

As the source confirms the number of Russian buyers rose 19%! By contrast the number of Brits declined 18% while Irish buyers dropped 28% on the previous year.

Overall, the number of international buyers who registered title deeds in Spain in 2010 rose 10.6% on 2009 but this did little to make up for the decline of 45.4% seen between 2008 and 2009. The property registrars’ percentage figures seem encouraging...

Regarding the numbers for Russians buying property the percentage growth makes 18.60%.
In 2010 there were 1378 transactions made by Russian buyers, while 2008 had 1373 transactions.
